Description:

Following the Yellowstone River, this run includes a wide variety of breathtaking terrain. Follow the twists and turns along some of the best fishing in the West, stopping to admire the history and vistas of the open plains. Visit the last campsite of Lieutenant Colonel Custer before the Battle of the Little Bighorn on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Then, head on to Eastern Montana and Broadus, the "wavingest town in the west."

DIRECTIONS:

Leaving Miles City on I-94 West, join with U.S.39 South and head into the open plains. Consider a quick stop for lunch in Lame Deer before heading east on U.S. 212. Complete the loop on U.S. 59 North. Interact with the map for further details.

Tips from Other Riders:

POSTED BY: John 7/13/08 Be very watchful of construction hazards on Highway 212, which seems to be perennially under construction. This road, just west of Broadus, took my wife and I down, due to inadequate signage. I'm glad that the state of Montana is beginning to sign construction hazards for motorcycles now.
